Don't mind my loose threads!

It happened and now I can't deny it. But, no time to feel sad and ponder getting so old, because I have a feeling this is going to be a great year. I'm definitely not saying 25 is old, it just feels old. Some of you know what I'm talking about!

Anyway. All that is not really the point of this post. The point of this post is to show you the dress I wore for my birthday. This was one of the most fun projects I've ever done!

I recently took a trip to IKEA and found this awesome black and white fabric. The fabric was clearly made for a children's room, but I said: "Who cares!" Which was a little weird, since I was shopping by myself. I got a few stares. Oh well!

You might know how much I love colors, especially on clothes. Since the fabric was black and white, I needed something to spruce it up. So I thought, how fun would it be if I took fabric markers, and colored the fabric myself!  I already had a few fabric markers left from a recent project, so I went to Michael's and just got a few more colors. And I had myself a little coloring party! It turned out to be the perfect birthday project, because it made me feel like a kid again. I definitely recommend this craft for anyone over 24 and in need of a little fun :)

And a special thanks to everyone who made my birthday so special, even if it was just a sweet text! I had a great day celebrating with Justin and our friends.

Happy styling!
