nursery tour & a few thoughts

Hiya! If you've followed along on Instagram or Facebook, you know that Justin and I just welcomed our first child, Harlow. We're so in love! Just wanted to share some shots of his nursery with you. We had so much fun finding the perfect details and putting it all together. The gingham wall was inspired from Pinterest (where else?) and hand-painted by yours truly and my amazing mom. It took us about two full days to paint, but the end result was so worth it. Look for a future post with pictures and instructions on how-to!

Ahh motherhood... what a wild ride! I've been trying to find the best, most honest way to describe how it's felt for me so far. It's proven to be tricky, cause, you know, lack of sleep. But here goes:

Motherhood is like living in a world of extreme opposites. In some ways, it's nothing like what I expected it to be. In other ways it completely surpasses everything I dreamed it would be. Some days are filled to the brim with amazing moments, where everything goes right and I feel like super-mom. Other days come with nothing but obstacles. At the end of each day, good or bad, I'm so thankful that God blessed us with Harlow. There aren't any words that could accurately describe the depth of my love for him and how amazed I am at God's creation of him. I'm so looking forward to seeing the little person he grows up to be!

Cheers!
